This office for a real estate tycoon in a tier two city close to Mumbai is a reflection of the owners sensibility of being subtle and humane. This design just reflects that in terms of aesthetic with white forming the major colour through floor ceiling and walls punctuated with light toned oak wood veneer to create a sense of warmth. No bold colours, no dramatic design interventions drives the core philosophy of this design. Staying true to the essence of the brief and the client profile is sometimes the most important driving factor for a design which is reflected in this project. Spread across two floors this office houses the public interface activities like sales, marketing and CRM on the first level while the upper level houses all the corporate functions and the owners cabins , thereby having a clear demarcation between public and semi public movement circulation. The height of the space being low, exposed ceilings have been kept in mind for majority of the work areas so that a sense of proportion comes in better where the open planned workstation and cubicles are placed. Calm and serene are two words to describe this office.
