The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Campus in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, by the Government of India’s Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has been designed to deliver world-class patient care, education and research facilities.
The 150-acre campus comprises healthcare, academic and residential zones to create a holistic environment. The medical zone stands with a 960-bed hospital and outpatient department. The residential zone is strategically located on the western end of the site and includes quarters for faculty, nursing staff, and students’ hostels, along with amenities such as a Faculty Club, a student recreation centre. The best practices of evidence-based design have been incorporated so as to focus on creating a holistic model where patient treatment, research, and both healthcare receiver and provider receive equal support and have a good user experience.
